In the rebranding we chose colours that are typical for the Mediterranean – not just for Italy.
Music plays a great part in creating a mood and we are bringing people in the mood for Mediterranean food through traditional music.

For the rebranding of Il Forno, we developed the concept of ‘la dolce vita’, which stands for living the good life. A good glass of wine, music, dancing, laughing with friends – an evening filled with great food and great company. To implement music into the brand, we used the ‘mambo’ of the well-known song ‘Mambo Italiano’ and made it our own by creating ‘Mambo Mambo Mediterraneo’. Even by reading the words, you can hear the song and instantly influence the mood of the reader, as it sparks feelings of joy, sentiment, and passion. That is the atmosphere you want to taste at Il Forno.

For Il Forno, we created a stately and sharp, yet fluid logo. The core of certain letters in the logo is fluid and represents the shape of a basil leaf. The artisanal aspect of cooking is strongly taken into the design of the brand; kitchen elements are illustrated into the patterns that are used throughout the brand elements. The taste of the Mediterranean truly comes to life in the design of the new website of Il Forno.
The rebranding is implemented in all online and offline communication. From the website to the menus to the outdoor displays, from the marquise to the staff uniforms to the cutlery holders; Il Forno has had a complete transformation – from Italian to Mediterranean.
