As a completely new restaurant with only the name 'La Griglia' and the concept of 'grill restaurant', we were given free rein to capture the fire of this restaurant and convert it into a strong branding that suits the product; meat from the griglia. We have positioned La Griglia in the branding as a high-quality and accessible restaurant with a warm atmosphere and appearance — this positioning is in line with La Griglia's intended target audience.

To create a clear identity for La Griglia, we made fire the story. Grilling is associated with heat, smoke and fire. This translates to warmth — and warmth radiates coziness. 

In the colour palette for La Griglia, fiery shades such as amber, copper, terracotta and plum are the primary colours. These powerful colours translate the overall vibe of the restaurant and the taste of the menu. 

The pattern for La Griglia's branding and interior is an interpretation of flaming fire and fits completely within the theme of the grill restaurant.

Meat you at La Griglia

When designing the icon we illustrated a wine glass as well as two cow horns.Depending on how you view the 2 G's, the illustrations become visible.

For the typography we chose an expressive, flowing font. The result? An authentic branding that radiates the quality of the brand.
