From an idea to a brand – as the luxury stay of an influencer who lives miles away from her guests, it was important that the residence became a brand before the beds were made up.
By turning YABI YABI from a place into a brand, owners Co & Rudy were able to captivate their audience from the first stone up to the realisation of the residence – which gave YABI YABI the flying start it deserved.
Because of its faraway destination, bookings are completely reliant on how YABI YABI presents itself online. Which makes the identity a crucial factor in this project.
The island of Curaçao is a number one tourist destination, with a lot of competition. To set YABI YABI apart from other stays, we have created a truly authentic branding that tells the colourful story of owners Co and Rudy.
YABI YABI is not only a destination, through social media it has become a journey. A journey through which future visitors can already feel the experience that awaits them.
Owners Co and Rudy met in the rain on the island of Curaçao, when they were both looking for the key to open the gate of their mutual holiday resort. This key was hidden under a rock.
The key, the gate and the rock are all symbols of the owners’ story and have been implemented in the branding of YABI YABI. A key is a symbol for many things; it opens doors to new adventures, to your home and to your heart.
Did you know yabi means key in Papiamentu? The name YABI YABI has literally become the key in the entire branding.
For the logo, we have designed a custom font, in which each letter design is part of a key or a lock. In the Y we have worked in the shape of the gate of YABI YABI – which grants access to your new holiday adventure.
For the design of the branding of YABI YABI, we have created a strong identity. All colours are inspired by the colours of the holiday stay – the azure blue of the Caribbean Sea is combined with hints of mango and sand. A tonal palette with the true taste of Curaçao. By implementing all design elements on the website, all your senses get triggered. You can almost feel the warm island breeze when visiting the website – an invitation for booking a one-way ticket to YABI YABI.
